| Sensei David Brooks David has been studying some form of martial arts for most of his life. He began his education at the age of 11 in Michigan studying Chung Do Kwan, a form of Tae Kwon Do. In January 1988 he began his instruction in Shorei Goju Ryu at I.U.P.U.I. This has been his core system ever since. He has the opportunity to study many other systems to round out his instruction, including Judo, Ji Du Kwan (a form of Tae Kwon Do), and others. His current rank in Shorei Goju Ryu is Yodan (Forth degree black belt). His current sensei is Kyoshi Phil Morgan in Plainfield, IN. He truly enjoys learning from Kyoshi Morgan and working with the many other black belts in his school.
David is currently employed as a Operations Manager for a Contract Logistics Company. He and his wife, Kelli, have two children: Drake, age 7, and MacKenzie, age 6. They have enjoyed attending Grace Pointe since May of 2007.
David’s personal martial arts goals are simple ones; always continue to study, be the best student he can be.
David believes that through the study of Martial Arts an individual enhances all aspects of life, a balance between mind, body and spirit is achieved.
